VOC Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Ann Stein is Board-certified in Hand Surgery and Upper Extremity Surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Ann has worked for the VOC and, previously, for Mid-Vermont Orthopaedics since 1989.

Prior to earning her M.D. at Rutgers Medical School (now known as Robert Johnson School of Medicine) in Piscataway, New Jersey, she received both a B.S. in Bio-Engineering and a B.A. in Chemistry from Columbia University in New York City. She fulfilled her internship and residency requirements in General Surgery at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (now known as Drexel University), in Philadelphia. She also did a residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont, in Burlington, and a received a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia. From 1994 through 2004, Ann served as Chairman, Section of Orthopaedic Surgery, at the Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Stein maintains active memberships in a variety of orthopaedic and medical-related organizations and associations throughout Vermont and the U.S.
