
Dr. Zmurko will join Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic in April 2007.
He provides exceptional expertise in surgical treatment of spinal
disorders and traumatic injuries to the cervical, thoracic, and
lumbar spine, with a strong interest in minimally invasive surgery.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical
Engineering from Rutgers University and later graduated from
the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. Dr. Zmurko
completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Wayne State
University in Detroit and his Spine Surgery fellowship at the
University of Virginia.
He has authored several peer-reviewed journal
manuscripts, review articles, and a textbook chapter discussing
various topics related to orthopaedic and spine surgery.
Dr. Zmurko, a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic
Surgery, has most recently been in private practice in Albany.
