Mike Dorion, M.S., A.T.C., C.S.C.S.

Mike joined the Vermont Orthopaedic in 1998 as director of Athletic Training Services after being previously employed by the Vermont Sports Medicine Center for 10 years.

Mike received his B.S. from Castleton State College in 198 and his M.S. from Indiana State University in 1984. In 2005 Mike received his MBA from College of St. Joseph.

A Certified Athletic Trainer since 1984 Mike has worked at the college, high school, and clinical levels, and provides in office rehabilitation and training consultations and coordinates community educational programs.

He is also the Marketing Coordinator for VOC and coordinates the patient satisfaction improvement process.

Mike serves as the Head Athletic Trainer at Rutland High School and is also a clinical instructor in the Athletic Training education program at Castleton State College.

Mike is a Certified Member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and Vermont Association of Athletic Trainers. He is past President of the VAAT.

He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Mike is State Coaches Education Coordinator through the Vermont State Athletic Directors Association, and is the certified instructor for the American Sports Education Program’s Sport First Aid Course.

James Hollinshead, PA-C

Physician Assistant since 1980
Graduate of the Duke University Physician Assistant Program with a Master’s Degree in Health Science

Mr. Hollinshead has been employed as a P.A. in rural community medical practice in Vermont for 14 years, at the Dartmouth College Student Health Service for 4 years, and he is now entering his sixth year as a PA in orthopaedics at the Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic.

Mr. Hollinshead provides care for acute orthopaedic injuries from both work and sports. He works closely with the V.O.C. Athletic Trainer and orthopaedic physician to provide a program of rapid access for area athletes to minimize time lost from training and competition due to injury.
