In addition to the services and facilities in Rutland, VOC has a slope-side, urgent care facility, located at the Rams Head Base Lodge at Killington Ski Resort, just 20 minutes East of the Rutland facility and RRMC. Staffed with two emergency medicine physicians who specialize in sports medicine, the Killington Medical Clinic has been the sole provider of emergent and acute care services at Killington for more than 15 years. The emergency physicians provide on-site support and training to Killington Skiing Services (ski patrol) and Skier Development (ski school) on skiing and snowboarding safety, injury prevention, conditioning, and proper medical intervention. They also provide care to the thousands of guests and community members visiting or living in the area. Clinic doctors routinely confer with surgeons at the Rutland facility in order to determine the best methods of rehabilitation for VOC patients. The clinic is open late November – mid April from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. seven days a week. In addition to the services listed above, the Killington Medical Clinic provides:
