Manager, Clinical Services
A member of the VOC staff since 1998, Mike is currently Manager of VOC’s Clinical Services. He also serves as a physician extender providing home exercise programs and educational information to patients. Mike came to us from his prior position as Athletic Trainer and Safe Sports Coordinator for the Vermont Sports Medicine Center in Rutland. He previously served as Head Athletic Trainer and teacher at Mission High School, in Mission, Texas.
With a B.S. from Castleton State College, in Castleton, Vermont, an M.S. from Indiana University in Terre Haute, and an MBA from the College of St. Joseph in Rutland, Mike is highly qualified for his position. He enjoys active affiliation with Rutland High School and the College of St. Joseph, where he serves as an athletic trainer and is a member of several orthopaedic and athletic training associations.

Director of iSPORT Training
Bill is Director of iSPORT Training for the VOC. He joined us following several key positions that he held in sports performance training and rehabilitation, including the Director of Team Performance International, the Director of Rehabilitation at the New Hampshire Knee Center in Ashland and as the Director and Head Athletic Trainer for J.P. Parisien Athletic Performance Center at the Burke Mountain Academy, in East Burke, Vermont.
Among his career highlights, Bill has been a featured speaker at many sports injury training and rehab events and conferences, including the USST Athletic Summit Meeting in Salt Lake City, Utah. He also was a Guest Specialist for the USST at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he worked to develop ski-specific strength training and conditioning techniques for Olympic athletes.
Bill has co-authored many books and articles on sports injuries and he maintains active membership in several training and conditioning associations.

Athletic Training Services
Tyler joined the VOC staff as an athletic trainer in August 2008. He received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Castleton State College and is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
While at Castleton, Tyler worked as a student athletic trainer for the lacrosse, field hockey, and baseball teams as well as for the Rutland High School football team and Southern Vermont Storm Semi-Pro football team. Tyler also played Men’s Ice Hockey throughout his four years at Castleton State College.
Tyler serves as the Head Athletic Trainer at Rutland High School, assists Bill Knowles at iSPORT and is a physician extender at VOC.

Nurse Educator
A member of the staff at Rutland Regional Medical Center for over 30 years, Patricia attends to patients undergoing inpatient or ambulatory (also called outpatient) surgery at RRMC. In association with the VOC, she provides personalized, pre-surgical education for patients and their loved ones, as well as comfort and communication throughout the process. After surgery, she and her team can assist with referrals for post-operative care and home health resources.
